Mobile telecoms operator yu is targeting at least Sh2.8million every day following the introduction of a Sh2 flat-rate charge on subscribers within its network. The tariff, made permanent on Monday, although still the cheapest in the country, now brings to an end a free calling holiday since July for the firm’s 1.4 million subscribers.
