Trade with Morocco and the UAE boosted

Trade between the UAE and Africa is expected to jump to 50 billion in 2013, according to UAE Ambassador to Kenya Abdulrazzak Mohammed Hadi.
This will represent a 27 per cent increase in bilateral trade between the UAE and Africa from the previous year, Hadi told journalists in Kenya's capital, Nairobi, in his opening remarks at a UAE business forum organised by a UAE trade mission to East Africa.
Some 50 senior representatives of more than 25 UAE government entities and private companies visited Kenya to explore trade and investment opportunities. The forum was attended by some 300 Kenyan business leaders and representatives of public and private companies.

Kenyan exports to Europe and Northern America are likely to increase beginning next year following a trade partnership with Morocco. Coffee, tea and horticulture players will be the biggest beneficiaries of this new development that was reached earlier in the week when more than 130 businessmen from the North African nation visited Nairobi.
