Kenya are the new Africa women’s volleyball champions. The hosts beat Algeria 3-1 (25-11, 17-25, 25-21, 25-13) in a tough final of the Africa Cup of Nations at Africa Nazarene University to wrest the title from the North Africans. Kenya have now qualified for the FIVB World Cup. David Lung’aho girls went into the match as favourites having won 12 sets to conceded only one while Algeria have won 15 to lose four.
