Green Light for Eldoret’s Sergoit golf course

Eldoret, the fifth largest town in Kenya and home of our world record holders athletes, recently unveiled its plans for the country’s newest golf resort Sergoit. The resort will be located in Sergoit a hill three kilometers outside Eldoret town and will also double up as a wildlife resort. The word Sergoit means “lucky” in Kalenjin and a few lucky investors were invited to the Crowne Plaza in Nairobi on Thursday evening to see the plans for the new development.

Sergoit Golf and Wildlife Resorts comprises over 3000 acres of prime real estate, a pristine haven situated at the heart of Kenya's North Rift. The most striking feature of the property is Sergoit
Hill, a tree covered rocky ridge spanning 400 acres dominating the flat landscape. Views from the hill are awe inspiring on a clear day, with the scenic Mt. Kenya to the East and the panoramic Mt. Elgon to the West. To the South one can also see the rolling Nandi Hills and the expansive Cherangany Hills in the North.
