Somebody needs to start making Kenyan dolls so they can feature in videos like Rain On My Lips. Remember Pepe Haze, from the MTV Shuga series? He sang it with his friend from Rosslyn Academy Steph Mckee and it sounds perfect. The song isn’t new but the video is, and it’s a work of art created by Loi Awat from Stop-motion animation studios. “He’s an awesome friend who does stop motion for fun,” says Haze, who can add the title of poet to his many talents. The video is a fruit of KPLCs ‘glaring’ inconsistencies that killed the electricity flow in video director Loi’s crib. “Basically one day KPLC cut the lights in her neighbourhood. After sometime she became bored so she began playing with dolls (lol)… she posted her footage on Youtube, I saw it and instantly asked her if she’d like to work on something with me the next time lights went out… (lolest)! I thank God KPLC came through once more! That’s how Rain On My Lips came about! source: http://www.capitalfm.co.ke/lifestyle/2011/09/07/pepe-haze-has-a-new-kind-of-video/
