Kenya clinched a rare gold medal in canoeing when Josephat Ngugi and Josephat Ngali won men’s C2 competition over 1,000m as the competition concluded at the Lagoa Chidenduele here in Maputo. It was a good day for Kenyans, who also won silver and bronze medals through Maureen Rono and Diana Natecho, who finished second in K2 (competed over 500m) and Kevin Nabongo and Vincent Oudo who finished third in men’s K2 (competed over 1,000m).
