The nominees are: Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, 73, the 24th and current President of Liberia; Pedro Veron Pires, 77, former president of Cape Verde; Aliko Dangote, 57, Nigerian businessman; Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, 50, banker, Fulani nobleman and Islamic scholar; Professor Wangari Maathai, 1940-2011, was a Kenyan environmental and political activist. vote here
