Toyota opens dealership in Meru to tap from miraa traders


Toyota Kenya has opened a dealership in Meru town in Central Kenya to gain from the lucrative miraa (khat) sector whose traders have emerged as top buyers of the company’s pick-up trucks.

The dealership is also expected to provide after-sales services.

“Meru farmers have embraced our pick-up trucks due to their hardiness in as far as transportation of agricultural produce is concerned,” said Theuns van Rensburg, a general manager at the Japanese car maker franchise in Kenya. read on: businessdailyafrica.com/Corporate+News
